Our Team

To invest in our team is to invest in our future. At Churchill, we believe in supporting the individual development of each member of our talented workforce, giving every employee the chance to thrive.

Qualifications and Training
We offer various opportunities to complete external qualifications, such as AAT, CIM and Management courses, as well as providing lessons in English and Maths for those wishing to improve on functional skills. We’re putting additional focus on training our people, with an official programme that looks to improve training across all areas of production.

Graduates and Apprentices
Our long-established graduate scheme has been running for over 16 years and brings local graduates into the ceramics industry. This allows us to nurture homegrown talent across departments, with many of our previous graduates now holding management positions and forming the backbone of our future. We’re also developing our apprenticeship scheme, and have widely increased the number of apprentices within our team over the last 3 years.

Loyalty
We recognise the hard work, dedication and loyalty of our team. With our Profit Improvement scheme, all employees with over one year’s service share in a bonus scheme linked to Group profitability. We also reward long service and our current longest-standing employee joined Churchill in 1971.

Health and Safety
By empowering our people and encouraging employees across all levels of the organisation to be involved, we have created a collaborative culture whereby the health and welfare of our workforce is a priority. Our employees are also offered benefits such as subsidised health care and flu jabs to support their well-being.
